Interesting! Certainly an improvement on the current version. Curious how the production version would be adapted.

I kinda hope it isn't, but it looks way better than the current model.

It's a Transformer. Look at that split, that's where it opens up and shits out a Shia LeBouf.

For those of us who prefer not to see out of our GM cars, I'm extremely disappointed that GM couldn't narrow the window slits down a bit more. Maybe they could forgo having windows entirely and have a periscope instead.

I feel that it is slanted back enough that we can proudly say we still can't see out of our new GM.

Gotta love how large the windows can be, and yet you only see about 2 inches....

I mean.... Probably not? No? I can't see GM going this radical for the car.

I'd be willing to bet this is an internship/student project. When I was studying automotive design, you'd see a lot of these models and sketches online. The confidentiality contracts for designers are unbelievably strict, you'd almost never see pre-production work. But after interns/students are done they are free to show what they did (for the most part).

Fuck high belt lines. They're the reason why I (who grew up in the back seat of his mothers 350 Formula...) hate the Fifth gen.

Stop trying to make the car look/be so big. Less weight, less proportions are the way to go for the new Camaro. If not that, than at least do the big coupe car thing right. A big coupe car should be spacious on the inside. It should seat 4 comfortably. It should have a useable trunk. That mailslot in the back of the fifth gen in inexcusable for such a large car.

After laughing histerically, I realized that its a clay model against a mirror. that gives a little credibility to the shots. At least it details one of the themes that GM is entertaining. These are definitely from within the General, however they could be released on purpose to stir up some limelight stealing publicity from the S550 Mustang which will be the big topic of the auto show season in three weeks.

these are great theme sketches. How it translates into a feasible model is another story. The soft Rads required for pedestrian protection, and a much taller greenhouse for occupant visibility and headroom will change these proportions, I am interested to see what the other themes look like.

It at least shows the styling direction they are probably (possibly) taking with the Camaro. Sharp and aggressive, rather than the 2015 Mustang's "do not offend muscle bland". The 2015 Mustang has visceral fat.

Umm nope. Its a student designed car ….. a student they didn't hire actually. Very sad because he is good.

Err while I would't say anything against Mike McGee (he's good), as a student designed car, we don't have any real idea of what is going on in their studio. Its a educated guess, a very nice educated guess but still just that.

Its a student designed car/model. Hott sketches get you the job, don't hate the playa hate the game.
